Bright Bird Rising is a music project led by songwriter and poet MaryLou Kayser.

After decades working as a writer, teacher, and creative entrepreneur, MaryLou returned to music with one question:
What happens when lyrical depth meets modern tools without surrendering human authorship?

The project blends progressive rock, metal, and symphonic elements with original lyrics, developed through collaboration with musicians and AI systems alike.

The result is music that honors the past without imitating it, and experiments with the future without worshiping it.
